3.2. Research Study, Monitoring, and Evaluations

Develop a monitoring and evaluation system and indicators, including M&E framework, output, outcome, impact indicators, benchmark, bias, milestone, and qualitative and quantitative data collection. Gatepath provides with reviews on engineering studies, reports, investigations, or communication prepared by other clients. Our engineering team is distinctly familiar with current developments in construction technology; have knowledge of ISO 9000, ISO 14000 Quality Management and Practice, and the Lead Instructor Course. Gatepath leads engineering investigations, feasibility reports, architectural/structural engineering designs, and construction/installation supervision, including water treatment technologies and environmental, solar, and hydrology surveys.

3.4 Waste-water treatment

Gatepath engineers have extensive experience in waste management, waste treatment, and environmental protection and had previously identified waste management gaps in urban and camp settlements and hospitals.

GatePath will engage city municipalities in understanding the main issues and recommendations for the best-recommended actions. Based on its expertise in a range of innovative technology and approaches, Gatepath will engage with municipalities to enable them to understand the gaps and identify the relevant and applicable technology that will address waste management needs.

During humanitarian response, aid agencies respond to waste management (solid and waste-water) in IDP and refugee settlements in camp and non-camp settings. Waste management is one of the main challenges facing humanitarian actors in camps. It could easily cause disease and environmental and water pollution if not appropriately managed.

One of the most effective ways to manage waste is to separate it into organic and non-organic materials. Organic waste can be composted into nutrient-rich fertilizer, while non-organic waste can be recycled or disposed of properly. This process helps reduce the amount of trash that ends up in landfills or oceans, reduces costs associated with disposing of trash, provides an opportunity for community engagement through recycling programs, and generates income from recyclables sold at markets.

To maximize impact on health outcomes, aid agencies should prioritize providing infrastructure such as latrines, handwashing facilities, and solid waste management infrastructure when designing settlements.

3.6 Water treatment

Gatepath water experts have extensive and solid understanding and experience in water treatment systems for sea, river, and underground water sources. Technical team members graduated from the most accredited world institutions in use and processes of the treatment systems in conventional water treatment, ultrafiltration, Nano filtrations, and rivers osmosis technologies. Gatepath employs quality, type, and cost-effective, sustainable technologies in coordination with water technology manufacturers and has entered into a memorandum of understanding with some technological companies in Europe and the US.
